I just wish it was “bigger” and the enemy variety was better. But I get it’s an old game and that’s cool.

It’s part of the main quest, at least so it seems. This is probably a lack of side quests and side places to visit. “Try the Hub next” “Try the Boneyard next”. While there is a map there doesn’t seem to be a real reason to explore it. Find a new town, do a quest or 2 that probably link up, go to a new town. Put on some armor, girl! And Deathclaws and their mothers can bite my metal armor wearing ass. I do like armor and weapons which will help me kill Super Mutants so…. Now form here I could go speak with the Super mutants or go seek out the main cult or visit this Brotherhood of Steel I’ve heard about. And of course the Overseer hearing about these Super Mutants wants me to go find out who’s making them and stop it. I head back to my vault and get the water going. I still did good deeds like fix the ghouls water pump but no need to involve myself in Super Mutant Worship. You also discover Super Mutants and a Cult that worships them…. Eventually making your way south enough and gathered a bit more intel to find another vault and a waterchip. Go to a town solve their problem (if you want) and find a bit of info and go there and rinse repeat. It was a tomb.īack to Shady they had another issue which I helped with and so became the way the game played. I did and it was fine and off I went to the other Vault and found nothing.

While my mission was to find a waterchip I decided to help these poor humans. I got to Shady Spring a nearby town and met some settlers.

A Wasteland.īut instead of robots and super mutants and feral ghouls it was mostly raiders and mutant rats and mutant bugs. Having played FO3 and on I knew more or less what to expect. There was apparently another Vault nearby and I should seek it out. The Overseer told me the waterchip was busted and I had to leave the vault to find a new one or everyone would die. Made a smart, agile, and lucky dude who’s good with small arms and lockpicks. Having never played FO1 and 2, I installed 1 and off I went. Finishing off the DLC for FO4 (killing every raider in Nuka-World was very satisfying) and then jumping into FO76 (its actually fun if you like exploring etc) got me aching for more FO.
